circa 1861, the outer case in blacked canvas with leather bound corners, seams, and two outer straps (one lacking), the inner lower tray lined and compartmented in green baize with barrel compartment suitable for up to 30in. barrels and containing assorted cleaning rod sections, the lift out tin accessories tray painted green and with its own hinged lid embossed on a brass plate 'REGISTERED AP'L 25TH 1861, BUSSEY, LONDON', the interior with fixed tin dividers and containing various period and slightly later accessories including a Sykes flask, a leather shot flask, a boxwood sizer, powder measures, sundry cleaning items and a brass charger
